Very clean & comfortable. All the added litle extras, tea coffee cake & biscuits.

Nothing

Overall: This hotel although small had everything for a short stay. Mine hosts were very friendly and made us very welcome, breakfast was a treat. Although situated on a hill & near a main road it did not cause a problem. We knew it was non smoking so that was no problem either. A delightful place to stay.  (99083596)

The owners were friendly, and helpful. Hotel was spotless and food was very good. We were greeted with tea or coffee which was very nice.

Overall: The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to the town and also the Riviera Centre which was where our interest lay, but also very quiet. Our room was very nice with extras like safe deposit box, ironing facilities along with the usual hair dryer and tea /coffee making facilities. Central heating was good as in March it still gets quite cold in the evenings. Clean towels every day and room was also cleaned daily. Food was very good and plenty of it.  (99361520)

Well equipped, with a hairdryer, kettle in room with a variety of teas and coffees. This hotel is spotlessly clean and friendly with good food and plenty of it. The owner phoned me to confirm the booking, so I knew I was heading to friendly establishment, they also collected us from the coach station, which was a big help, as it is in an out-of-the-way street

On a hill. long way from main shops and harbour.

Overall: Generally this accommodation is very good, with lots of extras, like a hairdryer, shoeshine, hot drinks facilities (Free) toiletries and clean towels daily, so travellers can cut back and travel light. There is a bar, but I did not use it nor did I see anyone else. As I travelled with my elderly, but generally fit Mum, We found it was a long way from the main shopping area, with a hill to climb on the return journey from shops, bars or seafront. I would recommend this place, the food is good and the proprietor is helpful and friendly. Beware of taxi drivers, different driver different price.  (3304751692)

It was comfortable, spotlessly clean, the food delicious and plentiful with good choices.

Overall: The hotelier rang me before our stay and I felt welcome before we arrived! The actual welcome was warm with a much needed cup of tea. We were pleased with the rooms which were spotless and comfortable with pleanty of tea, coffee and chocolate drinks.Breakfasts were delicious in a pleasant dining room. The propritors were very friendly with recommendations for places to visit which were useful. We would definately stay there again if we were visiting the area.  (2931053)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
