Nice location on village green, (modern) four poster bed
Floors looked as if they had not been vacuumed for a while.

Great location if you want a quiet village away from York. Only a few miles away from the Durham OX which is probably one of the best pubs in Britain. Staff were friendly. Very clean hotel.Good value for money.Plenty of places to park. Nice location for country walks.
Check in was a little late for me, 18.00. It does say arrange an earlier check, But can be an easy oversight if not paying full attention. There are young Children living in the hotel and were playing the piano at 8.00 on the Sunday. The father did stop this when he found them and told them off. When we eventually arrived, we had to let ourselves in and look for someone to check us in.
Overall: Good value for money. Very clean. If needed a base for an overnight stay, for example, working away in York ideal place to stay. However, for a weekend away with my girlfriend i'd consider staying possibly elsewhere next time.But overall i was happy with my choice of accomodation. (107816045)
