Town centre location

Inadequate parking on-site, despite the fact that they knew we were arriving by car.

Overall: Fair  (97670632)

Floor in hotel was very squeaky which must have annoyed those below. room was small, but bathroom good.

Overall: Being a City centre hotel it was adequate at best.  (97359461)

Good location in the town centre

Overall: The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and spoke English. It had a very good location in the centre of Fougeres. Very good buffet breakfast for 7 Euros.  (97990029)

Good location and the staff were exremely helpful and friendly

Breakfast rather disappointing - I expect good coffee in France, not tepid machine liquid. Also, not a lot of wardrobe space in our room

Overall: We found this an excellent place to stay in an interesting, historical town. However, because of its location , parking can be a problem though we were fortunate in that respect - largely through the helpful hotel staff. The restaurant attached to the hotel provided an excellent evening meal  (97577985)

The location was excellent in what I felt was a traditional French family-run hotel. This is so much nicer than those chain plastic hotels one finds everywhere

Our double room was quite small

Overall: We really enjoyed the stay, though our double room was quite small(I believe somebody else had said the rooms were very large?).The restaurant was fabulous and the we really enjoyed the ambiance, location and the town  (97068586)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
