4.0 / 5 4.0 / 5 Jane [Worthing, GB] on 11/05/2009 (Group of work colleagues)

Very clean and well appointed rooms. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast.

One room on the ground floor next to the lift was a bit noisy

Overall: Although we only spent one night at the hotel, the general concensus from my group was that it was a very nice and conveniently sited hotel.  (107664549)

lovely hotel, well-placed for centre of town; staff helpful, food good.

Leak in bath tap, which couldn't be fixed for 2 days,so we had to empty a bowl with diificult access over the free-standing bath, and the floor got wet. We were offered another room, but this was up steep stairs to the second floor, and I didn't want to be up there. We are ages 71and 76, and the stairs went straight off the room , without a door, and my husband was afraid he would fall down them in the night. We were allowed a small reduction for this inconvenience, however.

Overall: Very enjoyable.  (107944563)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
