The hotel was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good. The central location near the harbour was very convenient.
The view from the bedroom at the back was disappointing. The restaurant was fully booked for the evening meal on Saturday and we were unable to eat there.
Overall: We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and pleasant. (108449265)
Excellent value for money. Reception staff were all very pleasant, polite, courteous and could not do enought to help. Head Water in Coast Restaurant was particularly polite and pleasant and very professional. In fact almost all the staff were very helpfull and good to deal with, they made us feel welcome in your Hotel. However, see below.
Had a bad experience with a waitress in the breakfast room on saturday 26/09/2009. I know her name but have not typed it as per your instruction not to use forenames of your staff, I do know it if you want to contact me. I am pretty sure she is the Head Waitress. She was very surley, never smiled once and was very difficult. I asked for hot milk with my coffee, something I always like. She said this was very difficult, it would take a long time and she was too busy. I waited patiently for 10 mins and then asked another member of staff, who was completely different, she rushed off immediately and returned very promptly with a jug of hot milk and a smile. Then around 9.30 when the breakfast room started to clear of customers, the same Head Waitress ordered her staff to move all the empty tables around which was very noisy and disrupted our breakfast, which you serve until 10.00. I did not dare ask her to make less noise. I feel this Head Waitress needs coaching in customer care and service and someone needs to explain how to smile and be pleasant to people. It does make a difference to customers when they choose hotels.
Overall: We both really enjoyed the stay and the experience. We will come again in spite of Head Waitress. Our room No. 107 had a super view of the sea, the bathroom was really good, very light and airey, but the decor (carpet and chair upholstery in particular) needs replacing. None the less, it was excellent value for money at £80 per room per night per couple including a good breakfast. (108607197)

Very good location and staff friendly and helpful
Had booked for an executive double with seaview - got a room facing the back and overlooking a large airconditioning pump - the noise of which kept us awake. on complaining was told there were no other rooms available.
