Regarding the room ( 415 ) when sleeping with windows open for fresh air very noisy ( generators or motors at the back ? ) Also mattress was uncomfortable

Overall: Generally very pleased and yes I would stay again  (108982823)

Good room, wifi, breakfast was very good. Bar area good

Busy week so hard to get parking near the hotel. Carpet in dining room has seen better days

Overall: Good hotel and room, parking was a challenge but eventually got relatively close to hotel. Food was good. It is a small lift as people mentioned but was quick.  (108711044)

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was not serviced after night one. After night two the room was serviced but we were provided with wet fresh towels. Perhaps most alarmingly the fire alarm went off at 6.30 am Sunday morning. Guests evacuated the hotel despite no staff being present to assist the many elderly people who were left bewildered and confused by the situation. The hotel although claiming to having been refurbished was shaby, with many dining room chairs showing signs of rust. Residents could not use the bar one evening as it was booked for a private function.

Overall: Generally a hotel you would not choose to stay at more than once.  (108176866)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
