Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

The noise level was horrendous till the early hours of the morning. There were events going on to which non-residents came so there was no room in the bar to have a quiet drink and the dining room was full of people for a funeral wake so we ate our evening meal surrounded by noise.

Overall: noisy!!  (108622795)

Although the building appeared somehow old, my room was very functional and I have no complaint. I arrived early (around 12 p.m.) and they promptly checked me in.

The hotel is not in the best location but close enough to the city center. I could not find a decent restaurant in the area and I ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. The bar was much bigger and the restaurant and the menu was limited and I could not find any typical Irish food.

Overall: Money well spent.  (107641653)

Location;Value

Exorbitant charge for phone - €9.00 for a 20 minute evening call to Dublin - in fairness slightly reduced on querying.

Overall: Obviously a Phone Card or your Cellphone are recommended for use ...... with that caveat, very good value.  (97339062)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
