Good meals no bar noise in rooms

Rooms particularly bathroom small even allowing for old building. Suggest owners try using the bathrooms for a bath and use of wash basin particularly room 10

Overall: Okay served purpose  (107763497)

Very homely feel about the place

One forgetful waitress. Fire door banged during night.

Very average

Overall: I enjoyed the restuarant the food was well done and the waitresses were polite and attentive. The breakfast was also well executed. The night we stayed, there was a lot of noise from the bar which could be heard in the room. When I booked a room with a four poster bed I was expecting something a bit more lux. The room turned out to be very functional and quite spartan and best thing to be said about the bed is that yes it was a four poster bed frame, no effort was made to make it worth the premium we paid for it.  (97322742)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
