The room was alright but you should really have one facing garden.

The restaurant was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the location was great -- just a couple of miles from Chateau Amboise.
The room were in was pretty dated. The furniture was pretty worn as was the bedding and carpet. The ceiling had several large, dark water stains.
Overall: In the future, I would definitely spend the extra money to stay in the main chateau building. I think that we would have been much happier there. This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. The rooms in the main chateau looked much more attractive and in keeping with the style of the manor. Overall, I would say this was a good experience. (3304605504)

Le petit déjeuner très moyen
Overall: Séjour agréable, mais le petit-déjeuner est un peu limite. Il faut prévoir beaucoup de suppléments (un oeuf sur le plat 480, c'est un peu cher). La chambre est fonctionnelle mais sans grand luxe. La salle de bains et la baignoire jacuzzi est un vrai plaisir (2932438)

it was very very clean and spacious. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the surroundings of the hotel and the hotel itself were very scenic.
Overall: i would to have liked to know how far the hotel was from the center city of amboise, it was kind of annoying taking a taxi all the time. however, that is also to be expected in the loire valley and is of no fault of the hotel. otherwise, everything else was perfect. (2868916)
