Stunning situation and ambiance
Difficult access to room up uneven outside steps. Not en-suite
Overall: Very attractive place, but rather expensive for the facilities offered
Probably more suitable for large wedding groups

Fantastic location, given a tour of the castle (great),saw a kingfisher!very clean, ducks wandering about the grounds
On checking in the lady at reception, who was not involved in the booking process didn,t know what to do and no one else was availible, we had to look in the guest book to see what room we were in. No details in the room to say what time breakfast was,I had to ask the next morning.
Overall: Great location by the river, wonderful room, very quiet.

The staff were extremely friendly, it is a beautiful hotel.
When I checked in (which was late)the person thought we had only booked one room for two people. I had booked 2 rooms, we were given another room but it was not the one I had booked. The adjustment was made to the bill in the morning. No TV in room, no internet connection (even though site said wireless availiable I could not get it), shared a bathroom.

Character of old castle and grounds
Room was pretty tired, with no TV or en-suite in our room.
Overall: Rustic charm with no frills. Breakfast is eaten around a large table with other guests.Location is lovely but some of accomodation needs updating with en-suites, TVs etc.
