Breathtaking location, comfort, quality of hotel and staff. Most definitely ten out of ten.

If I had to grumble I would say the food and wine were a tad on the expensive side but more than made up for by the good points above

Overall: Will definitely return one day and constantly recommend it to all. A great pity we only had one night to spare.  (108806031)

It was wonderful.

Overall: This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is beautiful. The room was large and airy with a fantastic view of the gorge. The gorge itself is crystal clear and you have easy access to it from the hotel. The food here is also very good, a real experience. We went to the hotel for my boyfriends birthday and he said it was the best birthday ever! - I would recommend this hotel to anyone.  (107359656)

Picturesque setting. Stylish but informal hotel. Excellent view from room. A good base from which to explore the Gorges de Tarn.

Food a bit pricey as were the drinks. Would have been nice to have been offered an upgrade as the hotel was far from full.

Overall: We enjoyed our stay and would return.  (107171435)

We can really recommend this hotel, we would have liked to have stayed a lot longer as there is so much to do there. We cannot wait to go back.

Overall: You were made to feel very welcome. Staff were very helpful and there was a very relaxed atmosphere to the place. Great!!!  (97757988)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
