The personel are very kind and helpful.

The only bad thing I noticed is the accommodation fee wich was taken from my card account before my arrival.

Overall: Nothing else everything was perfect.  (107458224)

3.4 / 5 3.4 / 5 Gill [Cheltenham, GB] on 01/05/2007 (Solo leisure traveller)

Bathroom and separate toilet - well designed and well laid out

Poor lighting - why do hotels insist on having such muted lighting - have you ever tried reading or writing by it?

Overall: The price for breakfast was ridiculous. I ordered orange juice, tea and special K. I got no OJ, alpen, tea and breads. Special K was not available so what was it doing on the menu. It was replaced by 1 Weetabix. The bread that came - I couldn't work out whether is was stale or totally anaemic toast and as it had been covered in cling film it was also soggy in places. And why oh why do you use so much wrapping - what about the environment  (99033379)

the room was not that clean..we found long dark hairs in the bed...and the room was a bit dowdy.Tissue box had just one tissue in. And it was strange to have no wash basin in the toilet..not sure if that is very hygenic???

Overall: Ok ..location was excellent and we had a lovely meal in the bar..just a shame that the room did not meet our expectation of a starred hotel!  (108426922)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
