Next to the railway station and the tram stop; clean;

The room was very small, very dated and very basic. They tried to charge me for breakfast even though I hadn't had any and even though I had told them. To use the internet was VERY expensive. Noisy area

Overall: Although the hotel is very convenient for the train and tram, I felt that it was not worth almost £100 a night.  (107208549)

Hotel clean, bright and friendly. Only 2 mins walk to train station. Staff accommadated our request for an early 6:15 breakfast as we had a train to catch. Tea/coffee making facility available in room

relatively small room, no bath

Overall: pretty much an ideal stay if you need to be near train station, though not the best area to stay in Bordeaux  (107197369)

Staff very helpful. Good breakfast.

Overall: I signed up for a loyalty card because I thought the service and room was very good.  (97301713)

Clean and nice rooms, very close to Gare St. Jean, friendly staff.

The fridge never got cold enough, and the toilet was placed to close to the wall and the shower.

Overall: I had a great stay in Bordeaux in general, the placement of the hotel was close to both the gare St. Jean and to a tramp stop wich both were essential. I really did not spend much time in the hotel since Bordeaux is such a nice place to explore, so I can't really give much details. If there were to be anyting of importance it must be that the fridge never got cold enough to cool our champagne, however the staff at the hotel where helpfull enough to bring us lots of ice-cubes.  (99110893)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
