Lovely gardens and reception areas. Bed extremely comfortable.

Excellant to have a dvd player in room that I could play my own dvds on especially with kids. All hotels should provide this especially when you can get dvd players for £15!

Lovely big room, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with nice toiletries. We liked the little touches like the hot chocolate and shortbread when they came to turn down your bed. The bar area was very snug and cosy too.
Breakfast service was poor, although they did have a lot of people to serve that morning. The waitress was moaning the fact that people had not booked breakfast, but none of us were told to!

Had a large double room in the courtyard - which was fine. Strangely enough there were no drawers for clothes, just a wardrobe with limited shelving. Not a major problem but one would expect bed side tables/a chest of drawers. Didnt eat in the restaurant or use the bar. Was there for a wedding which was fine in terms of catering and accommodation etc. Free internet access very useful.
Requested room be serviced when I went to the wedding but returned to find, disappointingly at 1.00 am that it hadnt been serviced and breakfast things were still there. Received apologies when pointed out but didnt make an issue of it.
Overall: Unlikely to be in the Ayr area again (was there for a wedding) but the hotel accommodation and the venue for a wedding were fine. (107952235)
