Cheerful and helpful staff
Easy to find
Pleasant breakfast
Claustraphobic room
smallest bathroom ever seen!
Overall: Ok for an overnight stay en-route Cheap but would prefer to pay an extra 10 or 15 Euros and get a much better room elsewhere (108269376)
The breakfast is good value for money.
The Hotel had changed its name from Bel Air to Balladins. We went several km out of our way as we did not recognise it. The restaurant was not open Sunday evening. Our friends found someone's underwear in their room!
Overall: The rooms were adequate for a one night stay. (107294688)
Restaurant very good and reasonably priced
Restaurant closed on Saturday and Sunday night
Overall: Good economy hotel with easy access from main road. (108052919)
clean, easily found, secure parking
when We phoned the hotel on the day of arrival, to say We would be late, I was told that there was no room available for 'me'. Luckily when we actually arrived, there was a room. But it was worrying for the rest of the journey.
Limited opening of the bar and restaurant.
Overall: Enjoyable (97571768)
Convenient location Good value for money Convenient restaurant
Not very private bathroom (ie plastic folding door )
Overall: (Have stayed here many times before) A little way out of town but pleasant quiet convenient hotel (99432822)
Very friendly and helpful staff even though our French and their English was pretty basic.
It was very basic . . . but then so was the price.
Overall: For an overnight stay to break a long journey, the de Bel Air at Vendome ticked most of the boxes. It's right on the main road (N10) so is very easy to find - an important consideration afer a long tiring journey. Sure, the rooms are very basic and looked a bit tired, but ours was quite comfortable and clean and suited the purpose. Not too much to complain about considering the price. The de Bel Air has a very good restaurant, reasonably priced. The waitresses were charming. This was good when we didn't have the urge to go looking around the locality to eat. The fenced and gated car park helped remove worries about the security of the car. We stayed at the de Bel air on both our outward and return journeys. It was nice to be recognised on our second visit. All-in-all, a good choice for an easy to find overnight stop-over at a reasonable price, but not as a base for a longer stay. (3304370233)
Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
