Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Hotel was comfortable.

Hotel was very worn out and cover on bed was torn. Shower curtain was dirty.

Overall: We were made very welcome. It was an easy and comfortable hotel to be in. We enjoyed our stay.  (108478925)

Limited restaurant availability in the evenings

Overall: Perfectly functional, but not relaxing  (108835809)

Excellelent location and proximity to train and bus depot made it easy to visit family in Ramsey. Breakfast was also excellent. Room was spacious and bed was super comfy.

Room overlooked courtyard where people smoked and drank, but we slept through the noise. Also the place was being painted and decorated during our stay, which caused minor inconvenience in the lobby and the smell of paint, but it did not affect the room.

Overall: We would definitely consider returning and would recommened it to others.  (108815698)

The staff were helpful and courteous. The dining room for breakfast was very good but no other meals taken.

Unfortunately a major hotel refurbishment was in progress meaning that the bar and main foyer often resembled a building site and main doors wide open. The room on the third floor had no central heating and was in poor repair.

Overall: The difficulties of the refurb work and no central heating were somewhat compensated by the helpful staff and the historic charm of the Inn.  (108772200)

staff very active & always ready to help

room was very tired & in need of a big revamp with decor & shower / bathroom

Overall: if i had walked in off the street to book a room i would have walked back out, to expensive for quality of room.  (108293551)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
