Overall: We were made to feel very much at home by the owners..and they were extremely dog friendly , which was most important for us ! the setting was exactly what we wanted. We will be returning for New Year's eve. (108941579)

Very warm welcome, which extended over the three day stay. Interesting discussions and information on the region. The evening meal was of good quality, well-served and the proprietor clearly has a good knowledge of wine, this made the occasion more interesting. Low-key, efficient and friendly.

Good directions, delightful, elevated position with views of the Pyrenees and overlooking a lake. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Pleasant room. Very good evening meal.

Overall: The auberge was run by an English couple....and my first thoughts were that this was not going to work in France. However, the atmosphere and the food was such that I never felt that it lost any of that "Gallic charm". The couple were both very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. For people like ourselves who like walking the area had plenty of attractions and the nearby town of Mirepoix was a gem. The auberge is actually on the long-distance path that links Rome with Santiago De Compostela in Spain. Rooms and bed were comfortable and of a good size. Everything worked and it was clean. 48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
