The entire hotel is very clean, and has lots of charm. Very high ceilings in the room, and even a small fireplace (non-working, of course). The receptionist at check-in was very friendly and helpful, and the location is a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station in what seems to be a clean and safe neighborhood.
Due to the thin walls, and creaking floors, we could hear guests in the next room arriving and walking around in their room at 4am. The ensuite bathroom appeared to be a "drop-in" prefab unit, similar to that in an airplane or train car. While fine for an overnight stay, it would be very cramped and difficult for an extended stay.

Inexpensive, good value for money, handy for Royal Geographic Society and Museums, useful transport links, plenty of places to eat nearby. Paid on arrival not in advance.
