My stay at Cottage Guest House could not have been more pleasant. The manager came out to the taxi and took my bags. Check in was simple. I felt very welcome. I have stayed at B&Bs near Gatwick in the past but my recent stay on October 27, 2009, was just perfect. Breakfast was tasty and served quickly. I called the B&B earlier to find out about the taxi service they recommended. The taxi was reasonable and efficient. The ad for the B&B mentioned the pub next door but I went across the road to the Queen's Head Hotel where they had a Thai and an English menu. Good service there too. I would recommend the Cottage Guest House to everyone. It has excellent management and staff, lovely room and clean bathroom. Thank you. Sjaan Morrow, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

The Hotel was extremely pleasant, we were met by staff at the car who showed us to our room and gave us a very good insight of the local area. The room was extra spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and nothing was too much for the staff, they were all very helpful. A very nice Hotel that we will recommend to others, and indeed use again ourselves. Parking was secure, and despite being loacted almost on Heathrow Airport it was very quiet and relaxing. This Hotel offers fantastic value for the quality it offers.

We could not find any bad points on the Hotel, it more than met our needs.

Overall: We enjoyed staying at this Hotel, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We will definately use it again.  (108677023)

Staff hospitality and hotel cleanliness

Overall: We had a lovely stay at the Cottage Guest House; we were there for a 2 day trip to Thorpe Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a choice of cooked breakfast or continental and when we decided to have a takeaway on our second night stay, the staff provided us with the local takeaway menus. There is a pub/restaurant nearby (2 min walk) where you can have dinner. The menu is a choice of english and thai food. The food was lovely and was very good value for money. The Guest house is very security conscious and have electronic entry gates. They have a lovely scenic garden which is just like it depicts on the photos. A* Would definitely stay again.  (108294588)

Secure parking, reception staff helpful, very close to the airport.

Shower was only luke warm. Not located in a great area, would not say it was suitable for single female travellers. Hotel did not reflect what is seen in the photographs.

Overall: Not a great area to stay,OK to stay as a stopover at a push definately not any better than the local travelodge in my opinion.  (108125097)

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was spacious. I love the breakfast area which is facing the garden such that I had a very peaceful and relaxing start of a day. The location is easily reached by public transport (bus 105).

The bus route no. 111 and Cranford College as mentioned in website is not helpful if not misleading.

Overall: Overall, the rate is reasonable and very satisfactroy quality for stopover.  (108750171)
