The friendly staff, the cleanliness and size of rooms. The breakfast was of good standard also. Overall it was good value.

The only complaint was the noisy floorboards. We could hear other guests quite clearly walking in the corridor.

Overall: We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The lady who ran the hotel was extremely helpfull and very friendly. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a fine meal. We stayed two nights, and arrived a day earlier than our original booking, which meant we had to change rooms. Both rooms were fine, in fact the cheaper room had a nice balcony.  (97108425)

Overall: Very pleasent stay. Owners were friendly and helpful. Did not eat breakfast, but dinner was very good. Rooms were good size. Free parking across street. Close to train station for those traveling by train.  (99563377)

Overall: An interesting wisteria-clad hotel, where the limestone cliff actually forms the back wall of the building on the upper floors! Typical French decor, we had rather a lovely rosewood desk in our room. Located across from the railway crossing and on a sporadically busy road, so there was some traffic/train noise, but not over-bearingly so. French continental breakfast was good, and there was plenty of it.  (99412469)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
