Pleasant staff and clean surroundings; Trust your sat nav, it's off the track a wee bit, but very handy for the motorway

We found the the owners very pleasant, the room were lovely,and everything was very clean, Food was very good, and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and family.

The only complaint were the pillows,which i would have liked to have been plumper.

Good value for money. Room was very pleasant and the breakfast and dining area were excellent.

Shower did not get any hotter than lukewarm for the first person and really quite cold for the second. Another guest mentioned this to the staff so this issue was widespread. Towel rail kept falling off in the bathroom - a problem they were already aware of and had failed to rectify.

Overall: Good value for money. Staff pleasant and the food excellent. Bad points mentioned would not prevent us staying there again.  (108386826)

Nice room, clean, well presented, good breakfast

Poor customer service, breakfast time inflexible,drinks machine for tea / coffee instead of being freshly brewed, lack of atmosphere

Clean attractive room, comfortable bed, quiet inside if window is closed,nice dining room -food typical pub fare but nicely cooked and plentiful, reasonable too, pleasant staff.

Hot in bedroom(window closed)M40 nearby. Continental breakfast poor choice. Nowhere to sit and relax apart from dining are. Overpriced.

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
