Recently refurbished room, fairly basic but clean. Good shower room. Everything worked. Reasonable service. Staff generally helpful. Good bus links to city centre.
Breakfast OK in itself but expensive. Rooms at front of hotel face the very busy Hagley Rd - they are double glazed but if you want peace then suggest you ask for a room at the back instead.

I found the staff very easy to book in with. I came to stay overnight because I had an appointment at the Q.E. Hospital following day. My allocated room was nice and as I would have expected. However the T.V. was not working correctly, but upon reporting this I was moved to another room. which was of the same standard.
1) I was never asked would I like help with my bagage.( I did not ask, but would have taken up opportunity as was embarrased because I have Cardiac broblems.)
2.) The room to which I was moved to was next door to the ground floor entrance and every guest entering through that door looked in the room window.
3.) I am a smoker and found a lack of ashtrays on tables in courtyard.
4.) Even though I had booked a taxi for the following day, upon checking the taxi co. had no records so was booked again and was fine. (this could have been the responsibility of the taxi co.
5). The courtyard was very untidy and deserved more. More ashtrays about,The Planting areas,needed a weeding and clean uo. There were still cig ends outside the function room on floor together with empty party poppers and bits of tissues. I found the rear car park the same, with empty plastic bottles and litter. The garden areas would certainly benefit from a good sorting and cleaning, because it was looking like a not cared for council estate. It may not be a bad idea to have a little leaflete re the history of the premisses, together with some old photos. Those rear gardens have some history of which all visitors would be interested in.
