Overall: Check in was poor with staff having no idea I had booked 2 rooms. This took some time to resolve and in the end the 2nd room was not ready. I agreed to return later. Sadly on retrun there was no key for the 2nd room (room 3)and I was told they would have to let me in with a master key. My son and I were going out to return late evening. In order to gain access I had to ring a bell. It took 45 minutes in the cold and rain to get the night porter to wake up and answer. The next problem was my room. The porter could not find the key to room 4 for another 10 minutes as it had not been placed back in the key cabinet. The porter escorted me to my 2nd room (room 3) with the master key. I was admitted only to find someone asleep in my bed!! In the morning it turned out the hotel had no hot water, so no shower, no washing! In all a very poor experience (97354997)

Overall: The hotel with it's location and age could be more attractive with a little bit of more attention. Despite of the negative things it was a nice surprise when we arrived. This is a stunning building with a beautiful surrounding. I would put more pictures on the internet. Overall we had a pleasant night there. (97772856)

Overall: The room was clean and breakfast was excellent, The staff were polite and friendly. The rooms are very basic and the facilities poor, I only paid £33 for B& B and I was satisfied.
