Large room, clean and comfortable. Nice view over the garden.

Overall: A picturesque hotel with a nice garden. Quite simple but very clean and comfortable. Excellent restaurant but with limited menu if staying for more than a couple of days. A mirror near the plug socket would have been useful when my wife was drying her hair. There are very few facilities in the village so it was not possible to eat out without taking the car and the hotel appears to have the only bar. The owners, their family and the chef were very friendly and welcoming and made our stay enjoyable despite the weather!! We would consider staying there again if we were in the area.  (97682841)

Charming, unpretentious, convenient locale to visit sites of prehistory in the Dordogne, beautiful flowers all around.

This is a typical budget hotel with a charming French flavour. Staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The restuarant was excellent with many mouth watering local dishes.

Overall: Very enjoyable stay in the Dordogne area, where there is much too see.  (99972014)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
