Excellent, efficient, friendly staff. Fascinating building (converted Victorian country house with well disguised modern extensions), excellent value for money, very peaceful because of extrememly extensive grounds. Bar menu very good value for money and good range of choices. NB Because there was a large function at the hotel on the night we stayed, food beyond a bar meal was not an option. Staff managed our separate booking extremely well, ensuring that we were given a time when our meal would be served without affecting either our enjoyment or the service to the 150 strong previously booked private dinner/dance function. Breakfast freshly cooked and hot, promptly cleared away, though not waitress service, which some (not us) may prefer.
Bit of a trek to the bedroom as the hotel is designed as a conference centre and residential accommodation is beyond meeting rooms.
Overall: Enjoyable, peaceful, would certainly use again, especially en route to Channel ports as just off M20. (108807042)
