Room and bathroom good, clean and pleasant.

Hallways, elevator, etc., would benefit from some cleaning and repainting

Excellent location for Kew Gardens and the National Archive. Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of beverages provided for room self-service. Excellent breakfast included in booking.

Secondary glazing effective but unattractive. Would have preferred to open a window rather than use the air conditioning. Bathroom door did not shut properly.

Shower and provision of towels good, bed comfortable. Easy walking distancwe to National Archives where we wished to do some work.(This being the the sole purpose of our stay). The staff were very helpful

Not enough space inthe room-no wardrobe with hanging space Insufficient drawers The whole hotel is ready for redecoration and some re-furbishment. The invoice was wrong and poorly set out and, although I paid it in full because our taxi was expected and we had a train to catch, I have complained to Youngs.

Overall: Adequate for our stay. The breakfasts were fine but the evening meal poor and expensive for what was offered. We had only one meal and the other evenings we ate at the nearby "Wine and Moussaka" restaurant-which we enjoyed.  (107420717)

Staff friendly and efficient and waiting staff at breakfast even more so. Room clean and comfortable.

We were put off by the entrance to the hotel- not clean outside the door, doors and windows peeling paint etc and on entering the hotel there was an overwhelming smell of old fat. This was not apparent in the reception area so much and not at all in our room which was clean and comfortable.

Overall: We were comfortable and slept well and staff were v.helpful and v.pleasant so we did enjoy our stay,  (107607482)

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
