Friendly helpfull staff

Very welcoming on arrival. Location perfect for walking distance to local amenities and evening entertainment. Plenty of space in car park at rear of hotel. Great breakfast which was cooked fresh to order.

TV could be bigger than portable provided in room and limited channels available. ground floor hallway smelled a bit like a damp dog which was over-sprayed with air freshener. Bar food was a bit pricey for a sandwich which was a bit on the limp side with a side salad that would fill an egg cup.

Overall: Comfortable night's stay overall with very friendly staff. I would definately stay here again when I am in the area.  (107519139)

Value for money - En Suite bathroom - Free parking - Access to public transport - 24hr bar available - Quiet location - Nearby Shops and takeaways.

Can't check in until 1400 - Must check out by 1000.

Overall: The Amblehurst is not the Ritz but is clean, good value, friendly, close to the Metro-link and is now my hotel of choice for future stop overs in Manchester. If you want the Ritz, then go to the Ritz.  (107685836)

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
