A beautiful location-- very peaceful, great view. Friendly and welcoming staff upon arrival. The room was very spacious and the kitchenette was a nice bonus. The bed was comfortable.

The only negative thing to say is that we got the feeling that pets were allowed in the hotel-- the room smelled quite strongly of dogs and there was some dog hair (not much but for non-dog owners too much). The smell seemed even to be in the bed which nevertheless looked and seemed otherwise very clean.

Overall: It was a short but great stay-- the dog smell was a pretty big negative for us, but it still seemed like a good place to stay. We'd stay there again but try to request a room where there had been no pets. It is important to note that the room otherwise was completely clean.  (107953426)

Location, facilities.

30 pound changeover fee; expensive meals in hotel.

Overall: Cottage was great - a very enjoyable stay. Would have used hotel restaurant for breakfast and/or at least one evening meal if the prices had been a little lower.  (107229639)

lovely and peaceful, in fact so quiet it took a while to get to sleep on the first night as we are used to noise

lots of flies and wasps coming into the room from the garden

nice friendly atmosphere in a secluded quiet environment

rather expensive and breakfast should be included, not an extra, also expensive dining in the evening, we tended to eat out at night.
