Service was pleasant and helpful.
Hotel was tired and could benefit from an overhaul. Bathroom fittings were very poor. Tap tops came off in hand when turning.

there wasnt a shower in the room, only a bath, which you couldnt stand in. But the bathroom itself was excellent and very clean and modern.

The manager was really lovely and ever so friendly as were most of the staff (some were a bit 'efficient' and lacking smiles). We had a problem with the shower on the first day that was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. I have a feeling that no other customers had pointed it out before as the hotel were wondering where the leak in the dining room was originating from! Also very clean hotel, no problems with finding rogue hairs in the bath.
The dining room was booked up for a private party on the Saturday night. It would have been nice to have been informed of that when we arrived so we didn't have to make last minute plans. But they were very helpful in suggesting other places to eat.
Overall: Really enjoyed our weekend there. We were made to feel very at home and the hotel has great potential as it's a beautiful building with great staff and good food - could just do with a bit of a coat of paint. (108225236)
