Staff friendly and helpful, lovely location and very convenient for the wedding we went to. Great breakfast and catered well for vegetarians.

Good breakfast,food and service at function good, helpful staff

Noise from boiler room opposite woke me at 7.15 Sunday morning. Lights went out for 1hour at the function 8.45-9.45 PM, a little worrying for a hotel. Two spare kettles and one spare TV left in room, Why was online price cheaper than agreed "reduced" rate for function guests?

The upgraded room to which we were transferred when we explained that the allocated room was under decoration was good.

We were originally allocated a room which was under decoration. The breakfast was the poorest we have experienced in a long time. The fried/hot items were cool at best and cold at worst. The heated containers did not have lids available for users to close once they had taken their item. The bacon was aneamic in appearance and tasteless [and cold]. The fruit was dry and looked as though it had been removed from the cans some days before. The staff seemed to work hard but without co-ordination. Cutlery was not available except through the staff who, when they were able to find time, had to collect it from the kitchen. There were other small issues but you may get the gist from the aforementioned comments.

Overall: Whilst the upgraded room was good, the concern caused by our entry to the room initially allocated was not a good start to our stay. These things happen and we have no real problems in that regard except to say that the reception staff were not aware that the first room was under decoration which shows a lack of management co-ordination somewhere along the line. However we are unlikely to choose this hotel again unless someone is able to assure us that the breakfast provision has been significantly upgraded. [It was that bad!]  (107961663)
