Breakfast was very good. Rooms also.

It's a pitie that there is so much noise in the town, but that not the fault of the b&b.

Breakfast was okay. The staff were nice and helpful. Even though we booked only 2 days before staying there was parking at no extra cost.

It wasn't till I booked the room I noticed it was shared bathroom and only had a sky lite window, which is probably my fault for not having read it properly. I felt the picture of the place was a bit decieving, it gave the impression of a tudor style place, in true fact the front of the place dipicted can only be seen after going through an alleyway off the main street of town. The only room as far as I could see that was actually in the historic building was the office. There was no hand towel in the shared bathroom and one bathroom was impressively ugly pink and green. It seemed the place had been poorly designed as the bathroom had large windows but bedrooms had none. The room we was in had a large skylite directly above the bed which had some curtains put up to cover it, this was difficult to effectivly close and was partly held up by drawing pins.

Overall: If I had known what it would have been like I would have stayed elsewhere. Other places I have booked off this web site for the same price were far superior.  (108239967)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
