Nice leisure facilities

Charged £70 to park in hotel car park on top of paying £625 for our room!

Overall: Adequate given the amount of money we spent.  (107439367)

Convenient location, yet quiet for a town centre. Very nice room and good facilities including pool. Friendly and efficient staff. What more can I say?

Very comfy clean hotel. I enjoyed the pool and gym. Breakfast was nice and leisurely.

Did not realise had to pay for water in mini bar, as water is not normally classed as a 'soft drink', also if i was supposed to drink the tap water, it was coming out hot from the mixer tap even on the cold setting sometimes.

Overall: I would recommend this hotel for business travellers, leisure visits and is suitable for families. The pool and gym were a great plus. The only negative thing was that I had to pay 2.50pounds for one small bottle of water in the mini bar (and it was classed as a "soft drink') and usually get this free in other hotels.  (107680771)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
