Outstanding Assistant Manager, without who the stay could have been a disaster.
The wedding party sometimes let themselves down (!)
Overall: Very peaceful when arriving & service by Brian outstanding when small 'niggles' arose, despite heavy demand on your staff by the wedding party. (107623506)

Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, the reception,restaurant and bar area are very well furnished and attractive. We particularly enjoyed the gardens and the pretty courtyard and fountain outside the hotel. The spa facilities were excellent, and the restaurant served up very tasty food, and one of the most delicious cheese boards I have tasted in a long time! The breakfast was superb- lots of choice.
I would also mention the peace and quiet of the room, it was a very tranquil and romantic setting.
My only bad experience was that of check in - the girl behind reception didn't smile once and seemed very brusque. Other than that, the other staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was a little in need of refurbishment, but the hotel are aware of this and it didn't affect the comfort of our stay in any way.
Overall: A memorable stay for what was in fact only a stop over, we will remember this hotel for it's peaceful setting, value for money and wonderful food. (108284637)

Poor staff,they lacked direction and could not use their common sense and there seemed to be too many of them! lousy dining room - impersonal and v noisy
