Room is reasonably priced and value for money. No complaints on room facilities in general. Location is not too far from city centre as well, with the option of a short bus ride if the 15mins walk is too daunting.
Sheets were a little old and mine had some stains on it. It was also not changed after the first night. The old TV with bad reception should be replaced. Toilet floor (tiles) is far too chilly during autumn/winter.

The room and the bathroom were clean and well laid out (although the bed sloping backwards was a little odd), the breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food was good too.
I was somewhat perturbed (as were 2 other lots of guests before me) to discover at 11.00pm that I was expected to hand over £50 in cash as a deposit. There was no mention of this on the website or on the confirmation (in fact it stated there would be no deposit). I don't carry that sort of cash, so I did refuse to pay. The gentleman checking us all in was somewhat flustered, but dealt with it okay. Then I find there's no lift to the floor I was checked into (and no help available for carrying my bags of which I had 4), the bedroom door security lock was broken, there was no heat in the bedroom or bathroom radiators and the water in the shower was too hot to take one - even on its coldest setting. I left a letter for the manager, from which I have yet to receive a phone call or other response.
Overall: I wasn't happy - and less happy still at the lack of response. I am anticipating that this will change in the next few days. Whether I stay again will depend on how this is handled. (108335454)
