friendly staff, especially the maitre d' in the evening of the 28th & the breakfast waiter ( the eldely chap ), please compliment them. Pleasent walk around the lake each day after breakfast.
I dont think the room was particularly clean, cobwebs, stained carpets & furniture. Disappointed whenn asking for kippers for breakfast to get 1 kipper fillet, i expected something better than that.
Overall: Pleasent surroundings, surprisingly quiet where our room was, next time might try a room in the hotel itself. The hotel had been recommended and even though there were minor complaints all in all it was a restful stay. (108646317)

Overall the hotel was very good, the grounds were lovely and there was plenty to see. Food was very good and staff were very friendly/ helpful.
They had a problem with the boiler, subsequently we had no hot water, however, they did their very best to resolve the situation, even calling the maintence officer from off-duty to fix the problem. We were upgraded to another room for the in-convenience, however, the hot water had affected the whole hotel. We did get hot water within 3 hours though.
Overall: Very peaceful, good location, very picturesque, lovely walking area round the lakes and in the woods. (107839919)
