No good points

I realise that this is an old hotel but surely the decor could be updated. The pool hadn't been cleaned for months - this was the main reason I decided on this hotel. The brochure gave an image that this hotel is set in its own grounds but it was on a main road and could be anybody's front garden. The room absolutly stank! Once the smell of disinfectant and shake and vac wore off the whole room, especially the bed smelt of vomit. I stayed the one night and put a towel over my pillow and hardly slept a wink on the very hard bed. I checked out and didn't stay the whole 3 nights that I had booked and went to a different hotel.

Overall: A huge disappointment. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will be making a formal complaint.  (107845602)

Booked a twin room (as couldn't guarantee size of double bed). The room we were given was not a twin room - it was a room with a dble bed together with a seperate but attached rm with 2 bunk beds and one single bed. The mattress on the single bed was very lumpy and sloped to one side and was only really suitable for a teenager.. We asked to change to a twin room but received a very unsympathetic response. In order to get a good night sleep had to resort to putting pillows under the mattress.

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire.
