Clean, tidy and presentable hotel.
On checking in, the only information they had correct was my surname. This was due to incorrect info being passed to the hotel by Active Hotels.
Plus there was someone smoking in a room on our corridor - yuk !

Quality of dinner excellent. Getting in the car to leave.
Unkempt. Sad and aged decor. Tiny room. Fusty smell. Arrogance of some staff. Well overpriced. Shabby. No sound insulation.
Overall: The male receptionist upon check-in gave an excellent portrayal of what we would have expected from the hotel at the rate paid. After that most things went downhill. We had booked a family room for 3 adults (mum & dad & teenage girl) plus 8 year old daughter. As we neared the room the carpet got dirtier and dirtier, as did the rest of the "decor". Room was tiny, smelled fusty, furniture was badly stained (sofa-bed looked as if it had actually been under water).Around 10.00 p.m. both daughters were asking me what the "noise" was. The "noise" was at least two beds, on either side and above us, receiving a pounding, need I say more? How dreadfully embarrassing. Morning light was a blessing so we could get away from there - and I have a so-called "Preferred Guest" status at this chain. An absolute rip off. (107516567)
