Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet location. Reliable wi-fi service. Really good chicken club ciabatta, quality steak, and a good breakfast selection. Overall food was good but with a couple of notable exceptions.
Hotel is difficult to find with satnav, use a map! We ended up in one caravan site and two farms before arriving with the aid of a phone call to the hotel! Decor is plain and a little dated. Badly fitted curtains in bedroom and ensuite. Lounge carpet was not cleaned for at least three days. Scrambled egg was rubbery and served as a timbale (should be creamy and unctuous and should stand up for itself on flavour and texture, not on solidity). Had a "crispy" sticky toffee pudding, well overdone when re-heated in the microwave (however this was deducted from the bill). Orange mobile reception is very poor.
Overall: Generally quite happy with hotel and staff. Facilities are good within a pleasant surrounding. Narrow lanes on approach to the hotel are exhilarating, but not for the faint-hearted! Good value for money. Won't stay again as we like to try new hotels. (108573148)

Good food, quiet countryside location, staff helpful in accomodating the needs of a 1 year old baby.
Too hot in room, even with radiators off and windows open (in March!)

felt some decoration was needed
commented on stain on sheet on bed which was not acted on responce was `not sure how to answer that one` staff were efficient but not over friendly. The booking system on line works very well but lacks the personal touch which I would rather have.
Overall: on the whole good but a bit of thought and attention to detail could make it a lovely place.. (107736854)
