Your staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate.

The inside of the hotel was drab and dreary, it felt more like an old peoples home, the evening menu had little to choose from and our room was freezing as the heating did not work.

Overall: Tacky!!!! which is a real shame because it is stunning from the outside. I think with a little modernising, your hotel would prosper!  (108691913)

The staff were all polite and helpful. Stunning quiet location with extensive grounds. Breakfast was good.

Supper on Saturday evening was a £20.00 buffet affair ending at 9.30 pm. I arrived to eat at 9.00pm and found the food was tepid if not cold, and was pretty mediocre; which was a shame because the staff were very good. It is somewhat of a disappointment when you find that you are not in the lovely main hotel but in a fairly new build, to which one must first navigate the labyrinthine corridors. You really do need the map handed out at reception! However, although small, I cannot complain about the room or facilities.

Overall: If in the area again I may consider staying here again, but I do think the evening meal was poor and overpriced for what it was.  (108592487)

Had barfood to the room, it was digusting. Room dirty. Asked to upgrade room before I checked in, and was told there was a 'larger' room, but it was further away? Room was boiling hot- couldn't find anyway of controlling temperature.

Overall: Not good, but I guess you get what you pay for. Won't be staying again, don't be fooled by the beautiful picture of the house.  (108754554)

lovely setting

had no idea it was a conference centre!! a wedding was in progress so restaurant was closed to residents and a limited menu was put on in a partitioned off room (no ambiance) we booked at a bistro 15minutes taxi away

Overall: very nice setting but disappointed at lack of personal service  (108175197)

Evening meal VERY average This is a conference hotel , not a normal hotel - that should be made clear. Bedrooms too small and noisy

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would have given a good but for the points below.

It seems to be the wrong time to be telling someone at "check-in" there is two wedding receptions taking place. No indication what this mean't to us. The second point is to do with the noisy wedding guests. Why were we in a room in the same location as the wedding party guests. When they left the reception we had to put up with all their excitement and chatter etc. until 01:00 or there abouts.

Overall: We consider looking at other hotels in the Group so we would probably visit again.  (107913386)
