The fabric of the place - its cleanliness
The staff were welcoming, & housekeeping excellent
Locked out fairly early one night. The service (apart from breakfast) was slow

I liked the view and the helpfulness of the staff. I also cherished the quiet time and the lack of 'city noise' This was a wonderful experience.
Compared to Prices in the USA, accomodation is expensive.
Overall: The hotel is well situated and is lovely place to stay to unwind. The food was excellent and again the staff were exemplary. I would recommend this hotel to people in the future. (99360212)

The hotel is very well situated in the town. The room was clean and reasonably well equipped.
The decor was rather tired and in need of redecoration. The bed very hard and past its best. I did not find it comfortable.
The pillows were also very hard and poor for a hotel of this standard.
Overall: This was my 4th stay at OGH in 12 years. I loved the hotel on previous visits. This time I found the atmosphere of the hotel too stiff and formal. Not friendly or comfortable for a holiday. I would not say that the staff were happy or particularly helpful. The dining room was very efficient but over formal. I needed an early dinner on the Saturday evening in order to attend a concert, but could only obtain sandwiches before 7pm. Generally the food was very good but I did not like the cool, stiff attitude created by the restaurant manager in the dining rooms. I found the hotel a big disappointment compared with my previous visits. (99037046)
