Place had great character. Clean spacious room with tv and audio facilities. staff were really helpful, knowledgeable and thefood was to die for. Probably the best i have ever stayed in.

Good location and lovely old Building

Food served in the Bar was overpriced and very average.

Nice old style hotel and at the price excellent value

Asked for a quiet room and got a room at the front of the hotel which was very noisy from traffic on the main high street

Overall: Enjoyable and nice atmosphere, nice alternative to standard chain hotels  (107488720)

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
