Easy to find, good breakfast - nice restaurant with roof terrace
Put in the annexe - totally characterless! Room was very dark andf decor was darke and very old. Facilities were limited - a trouser press would be good at £109 per night! No fridge. Hot water took a while.
Overall: Prices probably reflect conference period. I would never pay "109 per night for that quality of room otherwise (107393820)
Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good.
Room was very cramped. Would not have wanted to stay more than one night. Could not stand up in shower. Could not run dirty water from sink.
Overall: We were in Bath earlier in the week and for the same price had an excellent spacious room in the City Centre. (107789758)

Hotel was clean & staff helpful,.On site parking available, nice terrace for drinks with view
Our room was rather dowdy with old bath, basin & light fittings. The bed was especiaslly old & had a major downwards slope! Carpet very faded.
Overall: It was fine for one night (most of which was spent at Glyndebourne) but bedrooms in old hotel need an upgrade. (107900877)
Old, historic. Reception good.
Crummy rooms, labyrinth to get there, grubby feel. Noisy location in rooms giving on to High Street; new rooms at back a bit like a new university campus, not very pleasant, cheap and basic feel (unlike Pelham Hotel 100 yards away and same price). Is swimming-pool clean?
Overall: Would not go again if I could avoid it. Pelham is infinitely better. (107929780)
Hmm .... oh there was a fair amount of parking available.
Hot, noisy, no air con, no double glazing, so noise from street at crazy levels. Room up several rickety flights of stairs. Room had aged decor and looked grubby. Mattress uncomfy. The window had a see through blind so I was woken up at 4.30am by the sun rising.
I should have trusted the other reviews and booked somewhere else, even if it meant travelling further to my business meeting.

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.
Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.
All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
