Checking in - this was done much better than checking out.
Continental breakfast was good.
Annoyingly I had to change rooms immediately after checking in. All the lights had fused.
The cleanliness of my room was very good but many of the wall-to-wall carpets in the corridors were badly stained and/or worn.

I was given a free Sunday Telegraph in the morning
Going into dinner in the evening, we were shown only a menu costing £37.50 each. No alternative was offered. Both the price and amount of food were grossly excessive. Even the chairs we sat in were uncomfortable. We left and went for a pleasant snack down the road, in a pub where the ambience was cosy, the chairs comfortable, and the meal cost about £20 for the two of us!

Waiter at breakfast heard us talking about travel to airport and he asked reception for bbc travel up-date for us
A hand rail is neede for safety outside bedroom no.15. My husband has a disability and was unable to negotiate these atairs without help
