The welcome, the overall ambience of the hotel and the quality and value of the food and wine.
Overall: We were contacted by David, the owner, by phone shortly after booking welcoming us to their hotel and offering to upgrade our B&B to D,B&B for our two night stay. We accepted the change in booking and were not disappointed. On arrival we were welcomed like old friends and shown to our room which was tastefully and recently decorated. The food is excellent and it is good to see a wine list with a house wine around £11. The staff were friendly and the whole experience left us wanting to return. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends. (108487793)

Very clean, attractive decor, and evening meal enjoyable
Rather highly priced for what was offered.
Overall: Very calm and relaxing,with good service. A complimentary glass of wine offered by the propietor, when informed we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, or a similar gesture, would have been very pleasant. Garden flowers in the room, or small basket of fruit would also have been very welcome. (108756987)

Overall: We really enjoyed our stay at Broom House - to receive a warm welcome and stay in a warm and cosy room in freezing weather conditions, was so comforting. Breakfast taken whilst watching the pheasants in the garden - how lovely! (107654294)
