Character hotel, free of modern rubbish, and excellent atmosphere. very informal, but still classy. Wonderful large beds.

All the staff were excellent - pleasant, chatty and helpful

The bath was a little difficult and not very eco-friendly

Charm and character

An excellent hotel. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was beautifully equipped and very comfortable. The hotel was situated in a beautiful setting which will be worth investigating next time.

Overall: We really enjoyed our stay here, we would have liked to have stayed longer and will do so next time. My only critisicm is that breakfast could have been on offer for a longer period of time instead of finishing at 10.00am. We have already recommended the hotel to family and friends. 48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
