The hotel itself was good, we have stayed there before without any problems. The staff, apart from the duty manager went out of their way to be helpful, particularly Kwesi, a member of the housekeeping team who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we actually got the type of room we booked for our second night.
The unhelpfulness of the manager and the fact that he refused to offer any sort of apology
Overall: I was travelling with my son and specifically requested a twin room. However when we arrived we were offered a double room - when I queried this I was informed that this was what I had booked. The receptionist fetched the duty manager, who also insisted that this was what I had requested; fortunately I had all the paper work to disprove this - his excuse was that the request had not been forwarded to the hotel by the booking agency. He did attempt to find us a twin room at another hotel but the only one he could find was at the Novotel which was further away and by this time it was 10pm so we reluctantly agreed to settle for the double room on the proviso that we could have a twin room for our second night. When we got into our room it was only to discover the bathroom floor was flooded. Housekeeping sent Kwesi up and he realised that this was quite a severe leak and he organised that we be moved to another room - unfortunately another double. The duty manager had actually informed us the hotel was fully booked!! We saw Kwesi the following morning and he wanted to know whether we had been offered a twin room - we had not actually had the opportunity to go to reception but he went on our behalf, and we were then given a twin room for our second night. Only bad point was slow service in bar & restaurant and the temperature of the restaurant being rather chilly!

the receptionist had a poor grip of the english language and i did have to repeat myself a few times to make sure everything was understood. although she was ever so friendly.

James, at the front desk, was extremely helpful to us. However, the computer in the room was so fuzzy we could not read the text and had to ask the receptionist to book our return flights. She was also very helpful and obliging.
