The hotel was lovely. The rooms were in a converted barn building and had lots of character. The food was excellent - both dinner and breakfast (you so seldom find smoked haddock on a breakfast menu!) The staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in the area.
Overall: We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is rural and green. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and the food was delicious. Excellent value for money. We enjoyed pottering around in the village as well - and there were newly born animals on the farm. A bonus :-) (107964087)

Owners very friendly. Service was very good. Food was excellent. Nice location.Accomodation was small but not a problem for one guest
None really. No free Wifi access in residents area was inconvenient but this was unfortunate timing. Normally would be available. Was available in the pub.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.
How do you manage to collect so many ratings?
48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
