The young couple running the hotel were pleasant, helpful, hard-working and efficient.

3.4 / 5 3.4 / 5 Anonymous on 03/11/2009 (Group of work colleagues)

The owners of the hotel were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome even moving their own vehicle to ensure we could park up easily. The breakfast was great nothing was too much trouble. The sea view was great and the location of the hotel was great on the seafront, away from the hustle and bustle of the party area but located opposite the tram stop to get into the centre of town easily. The owner was very helpful in supplying information on the local area and purchasing tram day passes. The room was clean and bed comfortable.

The hotel bedrooms could do with updating and the bathroom was extremely small.

Overall: We had a great night away this hotel is an ideal place to base yourself for a night or two to take in the sights for a great price.  (108492575)

3.3 / 5 3.3 / 5 david [wirral, GB] on 01/11/2009 (Group of work colleagues)

The staff/owners of the hotel were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was plentiful

Rooms are a bit dated, but it was only to sleep in.

Overall: Certainly value for money. Even though the hotel is about 3 miles from the tower it is just an easy bus or tram ride away, in fact the weather was so mild we walked at a leisurely pace back to the hotel  (108383721)

Why do we publish ratings from Active Hotels?

Our rating system is designed to give you the confidence to find and book the hotel that best suits your needs. We've worked hard to create a fair and impartial process to collect our ratings so you can always be assured of a great hotel experience.

How do I add a rating?

Unlike other sites that offer ratings, our rating process is by invitation only. This ensures that 100% of the ratings you see on our site come from guests that have booked online with us and stayed at the hotel in question.

All our ratings are created by guests who have booked through Active Hotels (or its sister sites) and completed their stay over the last year. We don't edit, alter or adjust the ratings so you can be sure of unbiased opinions.

How do you manage to collect so many ratings?

48 hours after departure from your accommodation booked through Active Hotels or any of our sister sites, you may be invited to complete a guest review questionnaire. This means that, for most hotels, we're able to post more than 1 guest rating every single week. We currently display over 70,000 ratings and we add hundreds of scores from real guests every day.
