Location and view. Room decent size.

Lots. This is not an hotel, it is a pub serving pub grub with 5 rooms. There is no 'reception', in fact I thought we had come to the wrong place. When we returned the 'reception' was the barman behind the bar. We had to pay for the room before we were allowed the key to the room. Never known this at any hotel I have stayed at before either in this country or abroad. The food was not bad, but not good. We had loud music until 1am in the bar (uder our room) and loud people singing and arguing outside under our window until just after 2:30am. The decor - didn't look as though it had been redecorated since the smoking ban.

Overall: Not a pleasant experience. The photograph of the 'Hotel' on booking doesn't exactly go with the reality. The potential for this hotel, with the location and views available, has been sunk without trace. The staff were both pleasant and helpful, but seemed hamstrung by the practices they were required to perform and the general neglect of the building which had clearly seen better days.  (108073265)

Modern Bathroom

No welcome. Asked to pay before even seeing room. Could only book Dinner between 1700 and 1730 Hours. No breakfast before 0900 Hours.

Room very clean and fresh, Not tired or run down in any way. Wonderful Loch views, worth a night stop over just for the location.

Overall: Very enjoyable an excellent position on the edge of the loch. Very satisfied with the service, very friendly staff, good food. In all a very enjoyable stay. Recommended.  (97689921)
