Very friendly - excellent food - very quiet - good position near Matlock

Lots of steps - may not be good for old / unsteady people

lovely spot, hotel staff friendly and kind, wonderful building

room too hot, bed too uncomfortable, window never opened with ivy growing inside, no TV remote control though was given one by hotel when asked, upstairs very noisey though not fault of hotel !

Overall: Fun but I doubt would choose again  (108642319)

Great Staff. Hotel Restaurant was very good, including a quality choice for breakfast.

Poor TV Reception. No fridge in the room even though literature said there would be. Room had a run down look about it.

Overall: We enjoyed the setting of the hotel and the way we were treated by the staff. Overall a good hotel, and we would go back again.  (107867779)

Beautiful location and very quiet and peaceful. Met friends there for lunch and it was an extreamly pleasant time. What ever the weather, it promises a lovely envoiroment. A real gem of a place and a lucky find!

Only that the food though excellent was a little bit expensive, but it was really worth it so i can't really say it is a bad point!!

Overall: The manageress was a very good hostess and managed to keep everything ticking over. Very efficient but also very much at home and proud of the place so it made it more homely and cosy and a real pleasure. Am thinking of going there over Xmas as I imagine it would be a lovely atmosphere and also very peaceful(!)  (108460663)
